Live broadcast application, Periscope, brings new life to people in the form of Periscope Heart Smiles (PHS).
I don't know if the creator of the Periscope application knew the meaning behind the name they chose, but the meaning has a vast scope indeed. The word, Peri, as it stands alone, in Persian mythology is said to be a mythical superhuman being, originally represented as evil but subsequently as a good or graceful genie or fairy. As I've used the Periscope live broadcast application I have noticed this definition to be true because doing or watching live broadcasts brings out the superhuman being in people in many ways.
When I enter a broadcast and I view the world through someone's eyes whether it be a field of flowers, a lake or a sunset, I can hear a voice on other end. It's a voice reaching out to the world. Sometimes there's only a few people in the broadcast. But people watching can tap the screen to create hearts in approval of what the see and the voice they hear across the miles. When hearts rise, the broadcaster's voice also rises. It's as if the broadcaster awakes from their loneliness and their whole soul smiles. Whether three, five or 55 people are joined together in joy of one persons view of the world, the hearts displayed and the comments in the chat bar are a way of smiling back at the broacaster.
There's a magic in live Periscope broadcasting. My 13-year old daughter flippantly called it the application for people without friends. Maybe she's right. Many of us who have been divorced, lost loved ones or hate our current situations can reach out through Periscope and find others to share our lives with around the world. Suddenly we are alone no more.
I have found new life in Periscope and I know others have too. I can hear it in their voice, feel it in their broadcasts and in their Periscope heart smiles that light up the world from Rome to America, to Turkey to Valenzuela and Dubai.
If your world is lonely, it's as close as looking through the window of an application on your cell phone today. That's a miracle that I'm happy to be alive to see and take part in.
May HOT Miracles in the way of hearts fill all your days!
