Your libido just may be hibernation for the winter!
Shorter days in the winter equal less serotonin. Serotonin production is responsible for sex drive. On top of the reduced Serotonin, the cold also contributes to the reason why you just don’t want to get it on.
According to bustle.com, temperature causes a change in neurotransmitters and while its effect varies from person to person, the depression, fatigue, and overall feeling of “meh” is definitely heightened in the colder months.
So if you’re less in the mood these days, it could just be your brain telling you to hold out until the spring and summer, because your libido is in hibernation mode. It has to rest sometimes!
